THE ORGANIZING ASSOCIATION
Kayak Sans Frontieres is an association created in 2005 and initially built by young kayakers.
In 2007, the association has been requested by the mayor of M'Bao, a village of fishermen situated in the South of Dakar, in order to assist them with depolluting
the Marigot, also called the "village lung".
That is how the "M'Bao project" is born, its objectives are :
depolluting and reforesting the riverside
raising awareness of protecting the environment among the local population
developping sportive activity in the local club
So that, actions have been realized.
First on Kayak Sans Frontieres' initiative, people from M'Bao then acted for the Marigot's life by themselves by cleaning and depolluting
Today, thanks to the rallying of everybody, fishermen had started again their activities around the Marigot and market gardening cultures have seen daylight
All profits realized thanks to this event will permit to develop all the association's projects.
